Computer Problems 2

"Is it really that true?"

date: June 8, 2005

Well, in a way this could be true. The older macs (which aren't fast) with newer systems are always the ones with the loooooong load times. I can relate very well to that... I thought the part about the games was funny, but maybe that's why people who buy macs aren't using them for games. The graphics were very good, and I liked the voice of the Indian guy a lot. Hope to see more.

Power of the fist

"Looks great"

submission: Power of the fist
date: June 6, 2005

Heh, didn't see that one coming. It was pretty short, but what do you expect, it's a trailer. The graphics were excellect except for the mouth which was just a black circle. The lip syncing was off also, and I don't have a crap computer either, so I know it's off. Just work on that and it would be near perfect for me.

Geography Game: Europe

"Very well made."

date: June 4, 2005

I thought this, and your other USA quiz were both made very well. The game and sound effects looked great. The menu screen for both of them was a little bland when compared to how the actual game looked though. I think you should have combined the two quizzes because they're aren't that big really.

The Doughnuts Show

"Donuts rule!"

submission: The Doughnuts Show
date: June 4, 2005

I thought that was pretty silly, but fun nonetheless. Some of the things that happened were cool, and I liked them. The problem with these type of games is that they get old very quickly and don't have much purpose. I found a problem by the way, for the springing donuts it said humping and for humping it said springing. You should fix that. good job.

Author's Response:

Thanks! Sorry about the texts confusions, I kinda thought they were the same lol..

Caves of Mordor

"Good but glitchy"

submission: Caves of Mordor
date: June 1, 2005

This was really fun, despite it being short, but I also found some problems with glitches. When you get the first "50 exp" packet thing, (the one in the dead end) and then go down the opposite hallway there is a spot where you can stand and get unlimited exp. I don't know who else got this but I know I did. So when I leveled up to about level 35 or so in about 5 minutes, I countinued playing. That's when I got the second glitch. I went from one room to another but instead of going to the next room, I stayed in the same room and I couldn't leave. So those were the technical problems I faced. As for playability, I felt it was rather bland and didn't have much variety, which I usually like. However, it was a good quick dungeon nonetheless.

A map would help! I got lost a lot. But maybe it's just my sense of direction...

Author's Response:

Unfortunately, I do not know what is causing those glitches.

You know, they didn't have maps in Lord of the Rings ;) Also, the point was for you to get lost :P

Thanks for the constructive criticism.

"Everybody loves weapons!"

submission: deletefp01
date: May 26, 2005

I thought the animation loops for the weapons were well done, despite the weapons not being the best in artistic quality. I though it would be cool if you could actually use the weapons on the dummy posters in the background. What I'm saying is that you should add some interaction with the weapons whether it's just dragging them around or actually using them.

The Stickminator part.1

"It's been done."

date: May 20, 2005

The animation is good, and it has a lot of potential, but it was too generic. Random sticks fighting has been done too much. If you want to stand out, you have to make something new or more exiting. Try different angles or more weapons like guns. The backgrounds are kinda bland, so you could make them look better too. Try to add a plot, whether it's really important or not, it adds substance to the movie.

Mini Indy

"Not much here"

submission: Mini Indy
date: May 15, 2005

Well, it has only one course and only one sound effect. The graphics aren't half bad, but the car doesn't look that good. You need to add other cars to race, or if that isn't the direction you want to go, add more courses and some music to the background. You could also add powerups like speed boosts and more cars to choose from. This seems more like a quick minigame than anything else. My lowest lap time was 6.4 seconds.

Helicopter Xtreme Demo V2

"Needs improvement"

date: May 12, 2005

The main problem I had with this game was the difficulty. Already from level one, you had to squeeze the helicopter through very tight spaces. Plus, you died very eaisly, and it got very frustrating in longer levels. I hope that you can add some kind of health bar to make it better. There were bugs in the game too like skipping to the next level even when you die.

Pusher

"Well, it needs some work"

submission: Pusher
date: May 10, 2005

I felt it was kinda tricky to push the blocks, because you have to be exactly lined up with it for it to move. The graphics were ok, but they could use some work. You should also make your character move faster, it gets boring fast when characters move too slow. But it is a good idea, so keep working on the game.

Author's Response:

To line up with the blocks you just have to release the arrow key and he will move into perfect position. It's more of tapping arrow keys at the right moment rather than holding them down.
