This series is turning out very well, I enjoy it very much :) By the way, this is a review for both sonic and his gba one and two combined.
The graphics in the series are all sprites for the most part, and although it's always hard to make good looking movies using sprites, this series is done very well, and everything is smooth and flows well. I'm also pretty sure that you made some of the sprites you used in this series, and that must take a lot of effort. At some parts of the movies, like in front of tails house, near the end of the zelda scene, etc, you zoom in on the chatacters, causing them to become very pixelated, which makes it hard to see the movie. The idea for the movies is indeed interesting, but watching these movies, it seems that you came up with a good idea, and then use different video game sitituations to come up with gags. Overall, it makes the movies thus far predictable, and full of random humor thrown in all over the place. Scene "???" anyone??? ;) I don't know if you're planning on doing anything to actually form a real plot through these, but it could be nice if you tie the movies in the series together through an underlying plot, instead of just random humor.
The scene selection screen and the right click bar were great additions to the movie that allowed you to navigate it with ease. The two ending parts of the movies are also pretty cool, but you must realize that everyone that even remotely enjoys this movie is going to be watching them both. Maybe you could add a button that reads "both" so you can watch both endings in a row, instead of doing all that work of going to the scene selection screen and picking the next ending :p
The movies are also pretty funny overall. Video game humor might not be the most exciting or deep, but it always works for quite a few jokes, as tails and his comrade for the day explore different video games, causing trouble for the respective characters in the games.
Overall, I thought it was a fun movie to watch, and although it's not the most memerable or unpredictable series, you'll still be able to enjoy yourself while watching.
Author's Response:
Just one thing, when you do series you should review individual submissions.
Usually the humor is just made to be humor with a small plot, no plot is really there until they are there.
I'd like to do a "both" thing but well, I don't have the actionscript knowledge, lol.
Thanks for the review, it was REALLY helpful!

This was pretty fun to play, and it was quite a unique idea that you used.
The graphics weren't the greatest, but they still looked ok in the game. The background is static and never changes, and it's only a simple brick wall. The paddle looked pretty good with the lighting on it, and the buttons also were done well. One problem I had with the graphics was the fact that the food plus the basket all look like they were cut out from somewhere, rather than blending in with the game. This made the graphics look a bit corney, And I'd like it if you could make some of the food items look a bit better. If you were to add something it could be the addition of different backgrounds, so it doesn't get boring looking at a brick wall all the time. Animated backgrounds could also be an interesting edge to this game. The way you made the game was fun, and the sound effects give the game a very lighthearted feeling overall.
The sounds were pretty funny actually. From the bouce sound to the roll over button sound, it all was nice. Maybe the addition of background music could be cool, but with the option to turn it off in case it gets annoying.
The game itself is short, but pretty fun still. The way you can use timer clocks is good, and it adds an element of luck in the game so you can get higher scores. I also think that it's cool that you can bouce the fruit off the wall to get it in the basket. Some good additions to add to the game if you plan on expanding it, would be multiple levels, and more to collect than just food. What also could be good would be a stats count at the end of the game, showing how much of each item you've collected, and how many objects you missed. These things could be used to change the highscore, and make the scoring system more complex.
Overall, it's a nice, quick, short game, that has a nice happy feel to it. You don't get the most playtime or satisfaction, but the game is still well made.

That was amazing. From the second I started playing the game, I knew this was serious quality, and when I stared the race, things just got better.
From a graphical stand point, the graphics rock. It's always hard to make the background look detailed or very good when dealing with 3D effects, but it was pulled off quite well. I'm really amazed at how smooth everything when as well. There was little slowdown, despite the amount of things going on, on the screen. Since I have not played the full version of the game, and have only access to the first three maps, I can only comment about them. If you were to do anything to the graphics, it would be to change things up a bit more. I'm all for awesome racing games, but the way to really keep the intrest of people, is to keep throwing new challenges at them. Some things to think about would be the addition of rain, slippery roads, and other objects of that nature. I'm not saying that the graphics need any of these things, but they would be nice to give each track something special other than just a few changes of background graphics, and wider turns.
The style of this game is something to behold. Whether or not you like racing games, seeing how the game plays out is something to see in itself. I cannot concieve how hard it must be to make something like a game of this nature. The way you constantly have to adjust to turns the way the background flies by is excellent. I have nothing to complain about the style in which this game is made, considering I've always been a big fan of "pole position" type racing games.
The sound is nice as well. You have music for the races and the menus, and the sound effects for the motorcycles was also very good. It's nothing amazing for me really, but the part of the sounds that did stand out was the announcers voice of the 5,4,3,2,1 count and the ready set go part. One small problem is that sometimes after the race, you can still hear the loud roar of the motorcycles, and the only way to stop the sound is to start a new race.
As for the race, it was a very entertaining experience. The way the horizon tilts whenever you make a turn was a nice touch, and the little newpaper that appears when you win or lose was pretty cool. The game focuses mainly on doing turns, and how well you can pull them off. This makes a big focus of the game of turning rather than dodging cars, jumping off ramps, or any other special racing effects that you see in professional games. I like the way the games uses you ability to make turns, because it shows that you can still make a hard game with the basics of racing alone. Although it does get a bit annoying to turn at every second, and slow down your motorcycle, it doesn't make the game that worse, because there are a million other redeeming qualities. I wish there was a highscore board just for the interent version players, only because I could see where I stand amoung the other players without having to pay money for the game.
Overall, it's a great game, that is a bit short because of the trial part, but still provides some high action fun with it's three tracks available. The game could be considered easy to beat, because you only get to play easy tracks, but I believe that this trial provides a good deal playtime nonetheless. A great little timewaster, but with all the awesome graphics.

"It's a good game, but very frusturating"
This game could have been really good, but you ruin it with the control sceme.
The graphics in the game are sweet. They look amazing and the explosions that look like they were taken from real ones also look cool. The game area is a bit small and cramped, but maybe that's what you were going for with the "arena" type of game in mind. The ending scene with the explosion and the calculation of score was slow though. I wish that if you died there was some way to get back in the action quickly, because if any one is going to attempt to beat it, they need to focus a lot, and waiting through a fairly long death scene gets annoying.
The style of the game is pretty cool actually. You combine things that look life like (like the explosions or the ground) with things that look more drawn (like your ship) to create a nice style for the game. The sound effects were good, you had your drums and lively music in the background a long with all the needed sounds for lazer gun fire, taking damage, etc. All the sounds were in place and done well here. The music wasn't anything special, and somewhat forgettable, but it fills the silence gaps.
The gameplay ruins this game however. It's really a shame though, because this is a well made game. The mouse just doesn't cut it for controlling a ship in a game like this. After much effort and anger, I did manage to be able to use the controls well enough to win, but with just one diffilculty level, a player who's trying to get into the game will most likely be turned off by the extremely diffilcult control sceme. I think that using the usuall wasd movement should be good enough to turn this game into something much more playable. I also noticed that the smaller enemies seemed to die without me having to shoot them most of the time, and they really had no effect on the game whatsoever. I would like it that if you decide to change the controls, that adding more levels and diffilculty levels would do the game some good.
Overall, the experience of the game is let down by the nasty controls, but the graphics and mostly all the other aspects that you are looking for are here. If you think you're able to get the hang of the controls, then this game should still provide some good fun.

Ha! I love tunnel type games, and this one sure didn't let me down!.
The graphics of the game should I say were just plain sweet. The plane graphic was very good, and I like how you can see it change position when it moves up or down. The graphics for the tunnel were also good, because instead of simply a big black tunnel that you travel through, there was actually some variety to the tunnels, and you could make ice tunnels, earth tunnels, ect. The only thing that I could possibly complain about would be the lack of background. I know that f you added a background it might start to disorientate the player, who's trying to concentrate. However, I think that very simple background (such as a space background of some sort) would do good for the game. Using backgrounds, you could aslo add more diffilculty to the game, such as a level with rain, making it harder to see. Just throwing some wild suggestions out there ok? ;)
The music was nice. I like how it changed from stage to stage, so it doesn't get boring after a while. The sound effect for the explosion was also a good addition. No complaints here from me. Looks like you got off easy here ;)
As for the actual gameplay, it's just like one of those tunnel games with a few new features like hp, levels and better graphics. Not the most exciting thing in the world, but the addictive gameplay keeps you coming back for more. I like the continue option, no wait, I LOVE the continue option, it saved me some frustration throughout the game. In the fourth level, you start the game above the tunnel though, and even though you may do this for diffilculty, I still don't think that it's very fair because the first time you enter the level, it catches you off guard. I never made it to the bonus level thus far, so I don't know what I'm missing as far as that goes. Some additions you might want to consider would be diffilculty modes such as faster tunnel, or more levels, like maybe a city level?, that would be cool to see.
Overall, great game, lots of fun. It's simplistic and addictive, and you'll find yourself playing it for quite a while.

Well, this game has it's ups and downs for the most part.
The graphics are my main concern. The background was pretty poor, and would suggest taking more time to draw a better one, or simply get a good background off a website and use that. Also, the enemies as your turret as a whole were too big. Everything seems cramped in that small space you have to fire, so zooming out on the action by a large percent would help you see where the enemies come from better, and could also make the game harder, because there wold be more room to miss. The menu screen was also a bit plain for me. You had a large stage space to take up, but you really didn't take advantage of it. The game options seemed cramped in the corner. Some good things you did with the graphics was the intro for the most part, it was simple enough, but still had some nice style to it. I also like the way you made the cannon part of the turret, because it looked like metal.
The sounds of the game were the best part of it though. The music choices were also very nice to listen to, and being able to switch between them at will was good. Only one thing would be to add sound effects to so you can make everything sound more lively and real.
The gameplay of the game wasn't that bad either. The custom right click menu was a fine addition to the game, it made it more professional. The way the game works with you being able to pick whatever diffilculty you want at first bothers me. It might e better for some people who want more non-linear gameplay, but for a simple game like this, I would say that going for levels that increase in diffilculty would be a better choice. You could also tie the levels together with more of a plot, to make the game more engaging to play. Also, for endurance mode, there was no replay button after the game ends, so you might want to add that.
Overall, it's not the best game or anthing that really stands out, but it's still a solid game, that can provide some good diffilculty during gameplay.

This game is awesome. It stands out from other spaceship shooter games, and also has lots of effects to make it stand out from other games of its kind and more fun to play.
The graphics, although simplistic for the most part, are still good. The contrast between green being bad and blue being good was a great addition. The great thing about the graphics and style in this game is the trail path behind the missles and your ship. The colors stood out on the space background, allowing you to see everything better. The way the trails move just gives this game the extra effect that it needs to stand out from other games like this. The graphics though, didn't really change much through the game. New enemies kept the same weapons, and you never really saw a big change in anything (except for more bullets on the screen) throughout the game. The background was also somehat minimal, but with slowdowns already occuring during gameplay, it was bound to happen.
The sound was ok. It was mostly your common space/techno drum beat for the background, and your regular blaster sounds for the weapons. The sound you added for when you upgrade your weapon was a good addition though, so you can know why you're suddenly swamped with more ships to kill ;) I would have liked an option to turn the music off though, it got quite repetitive during gameplay. Violence isn't much of a factor here, sure you go around shooting things, but nothing nasty at all.
The game seems to work like a version of asteroids, except the asteroids can shoot back at you. The game is very hard when you first start, and if you don't get the hang of how to survive, you won't make it. Two things to remember is that one, never, ever stop moving unless you really have to, and two, using the ability to go from one end of the screen to another is key. It was fun to be chased around by homing missles while shooting in this frantic mess in space. The game has a very fast pace to it, and you have to keep on your toes all the way through. It gets a bit boring mid way through the game before the encounter of the bigger enemies, because you end up seeing a lot of the same, and nothing really changes. What would have been nice is that you could intergrate some sort of weapon powerup system where getting enough of X powerups will increase your maximum energy, weapon strength, etc. I think that it would make the game more fun, and the ability to increase the strength of your ship is always cool to do :) One last thing, would be to tell us what each powerup does, and what each key does, before we start the game, because although learning the hard way can be fun, I'd like to know how to approch the game before diving right in.
Overall, nice space game that you've made here. The game is fast paced and there is some cool graphic style to the game, and although the game never really gives you a whole lot of options during gameplay, it's still very hard and fun to play.

Not too bad of a job on this nice little tank blasting action!
The graphic had a nice cartoony style to them. Rather than look very polished or profesional, you go for the more hand drawn look, which turned out well for the game. I like how the enemies like the giant robot guy reacts to being shot. The enemies and the tank weren't very detailed for the most part, considering the game takes place from a "far away" view. There also wasn't much variety with enemies, considering there are only three kinds. I would have liked it if you could make more type of enemies or landscape other than roads, to make it more of a enjoyable game. The background was interesting as well. The red convays a sense of distress to show the war mood in the game.
The sound in the game is pretty cool actually. The strange music was fun to listen to, and many of the sound effects were also good. From the little squashing sound of the poor soldiers, to the explosions, it was all very good and done well. The violence in the game was there and kicking, as blood spurts from the men as they get blown up by tanks. Not a very nice scene, but it never gets too gory, and since you never get close up, there isn't much blood to look at.
The gameplay of the game is easy to pickup, and fun throughout. I was going to comment that the game was repetitive, but the game ends fairly quickly, so you don't get bored of what you were doing. The physics of the game are non-existant, as the tank can jump a good amount into the air, but this makes the game more fun, and it makes it possible to jump over enemy fire, etc. I also noticed how you can go up hills faster than you can go down them, so I don't know if that was your intention, but it was kinda wired. The game is also very easy. Your tank is provided with a good amount of health, and for the most part, if you continue moving, you should be able to make it to the boss without much problem. I was hoping for more levels and enemies in this game, but it turned out to be much shorter than expected.
Overall, it's a good game that doesn't take long to beat. It doesn't have the most variety or replay value, but it provides a good amount of action for what it's worth.

"Clever idea, but could use more work."
This is very cool, and the way you play the game like a ds was quite neat! I'll try to comment on all three of the games that you've provided.
Game one: High score: 97 This was the most fun of the three for me, but also the only game that didn't take advantage of both screens. The graphics are simply sprites, but everything was smooth and the moving background was done well. It was fun to avoid the bomb blast on the screen and the stone and collect coins as fast as I could. A good minigame overall for the most part, definitely the best and hardest one of the lot. I wish you could have intergrated the top screen more in the game, but it would have been hard to considering you have concentrate on the bottom most of the time. If you were to remake this one, you could have had coins fall from the top screen instead of appear right on the bottom one.
Game two: This one was ok, I like how you used both the top and bottom screens in the game well. The graphics in this were nothing special, and the bowser sprite one seems to become a bit pixilated when it comes closer. The game idea is a good one, but the game seemed to have a few big problems. First off, it was way too easy. You had to be right in the center of the shell in order to be hit. I ended up killing my self after the game got boring. You might want to make it easier to be hit, and have the bowser shells come down faster.
Game three: This one seemed to have the most potential, but you didn't act on it as well as I may have hoped. The graphics were pretty good, and the water effect on the bottom screen was done well. The stylus however seemed to cover the fish most of the time, which was annoying, so you might want to fix that. Also, there was no highscore or anything of that matter, which is bad. With minigames like these, getting higher scores are the main reason you keep playing them. If you made this minigame harder, and with some way to add score, it would become much better.
The music for all the games was your usual mario fare, nothing special or new, but it gets the job done. I would have preferred more interesting remixes of the songs, but you can't go wrong with the originals. Overall, a nice idea, but you could have improved upon it by making the games harder.

Wow, another great game that I've had the pleasure of coming across today. This one intrigued me quite a bit, considering the look of the game is one that is very unique. The graphics are the most interesting part of the game in my opinion. I find the gameplay fun and the controls not too diffilcult, but simply the style of the graphics is something that can really draw me towards the game easily. The golden background and the black outline characters are a real sight to look at. It looks like you and your enemies are shawdows that are wandering along a huge gold city shooting and fighting. So to sum my compliments on this original color sceme and way of presenting ones game, I say kudos to you sir. The enemy drawings were actually pretty detailed as a matter of fact, and all of them were original designs such as alligators on wheels, and so on. I also enjoyed rage mode quite a bit, as the colors change from a yellow color to red, as you dash through your enemies with ease ;)
Ok gameplay, the fun begins. The game is quite hard for the most part, considering enemies come at you fairly quickly even in early levels, so you have to click that mouse like you really mean it. The rpg element of getting powerups and being able to increase your maximum health, or gun power was another great addition. It's hard to include features like these into a game like this, but I felt you did so flawlessly. The controls for the game were a bit trickly for me at first, and still are, considering moving with the left hand is always a harder task. But there isn't really much you can do if you need the right hand to deal with aiming and shooting. Some problems I had with shooting would be that you can't point your gun in all directions. For example, more than once I would jump over an incoming enemy, and then proceed to shoot it, only to find my gun cannot point that far downward. It was quite annoying, and since health is quite scarce and hard to come by, losing life because of this really gets annoying. I would hope that if you were to change something, it would be to allow your character to use his gun in a larger range of motion. By the way, I noticed that if you try to submit your score and leave the name part blank, it changes to "dumbass," how cleaver of your ;)
The sound of the game is nothing special, but nothing bad either way. You have your money collection sound, gun sound, and even the bomb dropping sound from some of the later enemies. There obviously was violence in this game if you're going to decide to call it GunRun, but nothing too graphical, just a white flash for pain and a small explosion for enemies. Nothing too funny about this game that I noticed, except for the submit-score-name-changing-thing.
Overall, this is a great game to spend some time with, and if you're into high score boards, this is your thing, considering there's a nice little board included in this heafty package of a game called GunRun. A unique graphics style awaits you in this challenging action game.
